In Canada, more than 3,000,000 animals suffer a horrendous fate for their fur. On Canadian fur farms animals are forced to live in cramped cages alongside hundreds or thousands of other animals. Cannibalism, severe infections, self-mutilation, broken limbs and internal bleeding are common ailments on fur farms.
In the wild, leg-hold and other body-gripping traps are still commonly used to capture animals. Unable to protect themselves against weather conditions, emaciation, dehydration, these animals can easily injure themselves trying to get free.
These practices are all inherently inhumane. And you can stop them.
